What I Did:
To make this meme I combined two pictures, one of the outside of Slane, and the fat girl running meme to create my new meme. This was not as difficult as it could've been, however it is not my most perfect work. First, I made the picture of Slane as my background and then the fat girl running was a new layer that I inserted into the background. To do this I used the quick selection took as best as I could to cut the fat girl running out and insert her into the background. This was more difficult than I thought it would be due to the fact that it looks perfect and then you would put it on a different layer and realize that there is white showing that you didn't realize before or you cut a piece of the body off that you didn't notice before. This process was repeated several times and even though it still isn't perfect, it was as close as I could get. After I used the quick selection tool and put it into the background, I changed the brightness of the fat girl running so it would blend in with the background more and look like it was there the whole time.
What I Learned:
This was a fun assignment to be able to play around with some of the new things we learned in class. For example, this was my first time combining two pictures to create one. This was also my first time using the quick selection tool. This will definitely be a very useful tool with future editing in photoshop. This assignment also gave me the chance to play around the filter and adjustments to put on layers. Overall, I became more comfortable with photoshop and its tools from this assignment.
